Every day, women still struggle for equality, facing presumptions, harsh criticism and undue disparity, whether they choose to stay home and care for their families, or climb the corporate ladder. On May 12th, Iris Atlanta held an inaugural event with the intent of changing that. Take Your Mother to Work Day was created to celebrate the strong maternal forces in our lives; recognizing their contributions to the rise of women, and sharing perspectives on the distance left to cover.
